This is a 2-colour, 2-block print. The cutting of each block was intense and time consuming - the black/foreground block took me over 60 hours. The technical challenge with this print was to achieve a very precise registration - the blacks had to align accurately with the whites, otherwise the whole image looks offset.

The image itself was constructed from a series of about 8 photographs that I took of the cliff at Cape Cornwall during the summer of 2020. Although my Leica is equipped with a fixed 28mm wide-angle lens it is still not possible to take a single image of this kind - hence a series of photographs that I 'stitch' together by eye (I don't use any software to achieve the stitched image, preferring to exercise control over each section of join).

Because I didn't use the destructive reduction process for this print, it will be possible to produce more editions in different colourways - but it's unlikely that I will because I'm always moving onto a new image... but if there is interest in different colours then I may return to this work.
