This is a five-stage reduction linoprint (meaning that the print was produced using a single block of lino that was progressively destroyed during the printing process, as sections of the lino were removed after they had server their purpose in relation to a specific colour).

I originally planned a single colourway (which became the blue edition), but during the course of printing I experimented with gold ink - the results were so effective that I decided to create additional gold editions - which meant that each colourway is a much smaller edition than i would normally aim for! So I have the number of individual prints that I was originally aiming for, but they're spread across the three editions). 

The two gold editions only differ in the number of foreground shadows that are printed in gold.
