This is a series of 8 variable edition relief lino monoprints.

Apart from the crescent element of the moon which has been cut in the conventional way of lino prints, all the marks that make up the image are made by removing ink from a fully-inked block using, in the case of this set, a palette knife and cloth. This results in a series of distinctly different images, although they are all based on the same theme and subject.

With this kind of printmaking I'm not try to replicate each print - rather, I'm setting out to produce a related set of unique images.

Paper: High quality art paper: 225gsm Zerkall 902 Rough - printed on rough Zerkall paper
